a sigh of relief :)

Last weekend I went to Prom with one of my very best friends, Kevin! He was seriously the best date. He made it SO fun and put up with my giddy-ness all night long. He also helped me a TON {along with others} when it came to clean up and such! He's been there for me every step of the way. I will always be so grateful for him!

It felt SO good to just have a good time with my best friends after worrying about the
"behind-the-scenes" elements for so long. And guess. what.

I never have to plan prom again. :)

It's been such a fun opportunity to have, and I am so grateful that I could work with my good friend Marlee on it! She worked so hard and pulled off an amazing prom. I mostly just did decorations, which I asked for. :) I had so much fun pulling things together and seeing a beautiful outcome! {I don't want to brag, but I think it turned out so well!} Yay!

It's been a blast, but it's also so nice to take a breather.

This is Kevin and I on our day activity. Our group took the light rail to the Diamondbacks, kinda. It turned out that by the time we would have gotten there it would have been super late, so we just stayed and walked around mill! SO fun! Bless his soul, he even bought us matching D-Backs shirts and we didn't even go. It ended up being one of the best dates I've ever been on!

me in my dress. Thanks to my dear mommy for modest-fying my dress and fixing my slip and helping SO much with decorations and being my mental backup and giving words of advice and spending so much of her time doing things for me, her selfish daughter, and driving me, her unlicensed loser daughter, around for countless errands. Try saying that in one breath.

Me and Kevin. Yep, love him to pieces!

So I definitely wore sparkly Chucks... best decision I've made all year!

This photo does NOT do justice of the location {Tempe Center for the Arts} in all of its blurriness and it was taken before the party was poppin'... but here is the idea :)

These are the centerpieces for the Lakeside room, a.k.a. the food room, a.k.a. the room with the view. This doesn't do justice either... the windows in this room are incredible. They overlook Tempe Town Lake with the bridge all lit up and candles aglow and love in the air. :)

I also got to make a headband for my friend, Danielle!
Oh I just love her so much.

Well, that's prom for ya! In a tiny, weird way... I kind of miss it! Not only was it one of the most fun nights of my life, I just had so much fun planning it with Marlee! :)

More update to come... life is crazy.

Happy Sabbath :)

Your dress is a-ttractive and guess what? You just planned prom! You will never have to feel inadequate for any calling. Relief society dinner? NBD. Girls camp director? Piece o' cake! So good fo you!

Yep, it was quite a ride, but YOU DID IT! Congrats on a raging success.

Now if we can just get the decorations out of the living room....

I love love LOVE your whole outfit. I even think the modestifying made the dress cuter. The white rosettes on the neckline stand out more now.

Also, you planned prom. And now it's over. And it was fun. Hooray!
